Busselton Cultural & Lifestyle Attractions

Situated 232 km from Perth, Busselton is a holiday makers’ haven, as evidenced by the fact that Busselton has been judged WA’s top tourism town three times (1995,1996 & 2005).  Its 30 km of pristine beaches on the sheltered Geographe Bay make it an aquatic playground with swimming, fishing, diving, snorkelling, boating and body boarding just some of the family water activities on offer.

The lifestyle is relaxed, the atmosphere is of a country town but the accommodation, restaurants, shops and other facilities are equal to anywhere in the world.

Traditionally, the industries have been agricultural: dairy, beef cattle, sheep and other agricultural products.  More recently, there is a burgeoning wine industry in the region and Busselton is a great base from which Dunsborough, Yallingup and the Margaret River Wine Region can be explored.

Springtime brings a magnificent display of a huge variety of wildflowers including kangaroo paws, cats paws, pink vine, acacias and donkey and spider orchids.

Families are well catered for in Busselton with a cycle path for all ages along the stunning Geographe Bay foreshore. Yoganup Park has imaginative play equipment for children of all ages. There is an entertainment park which has giant water slides, an archery park, mini golf, one of the states few remaining drive-in theatres, jetski hire, a par 3 Golf Course and much more.

Art, Craft, Galleries & Studios

Busselton and the surrounding area abound in studios and galleries showcasing the skill, quality and variety of local arts and crafts often inspired by the environment and the resources of the area.

Quiet Bays and Surfing Beaches

The long, curving, wide beaches and calm waters of Geographe Bay give rise to a wide variety of water activities, including swimming, yachting, snorkeling, fishing and much more and is one of the reasons for Busselton’s popularity as a tourist destination.

The Busselton Beachfront with its trademark  shady trees caters for locals and visitors alike with excellent including netted swimming areas, shady lawns, restaurants and beach kiosks, public toilets, pathways and picnic seating.
